Automated Viscosity Measuring Instrument Oil
Automated Viscosity Measuring Instrument Oil
A viscometer is an instrument used to measure fluid viscosity and the flow properties of liquids. their internal characteristics and factors that go into performing a precise and repeatable viscosity measurement.

Automatic Portable Petroleum Colorimeter
Automatic Portable Petroleum Colorimeter
Single scale, three-field petroleum comparator designed for visual color grading by direct comparison between the sample and colored glass filters housed in test discs conforming to the chromaticity coordinates of ASTM method.
The ASTM color of petroleum products applies to products having an ASTM color of 0.5 or darker, including lubricating oils, heating oils and diesel fuel oils. (For products having an ASTM color lighter than 0.5, use the Saybolt Chromometer.) To determine ASTM color, the sample is compared against standard color discs in the Petroleum Colorimeter.
Rotational Viscometers
Rotational Viscometers
Rotational viscometers are designed to measure viscosity by analyzing the torque required to rotate a spindle submerged in a fluid at a constant speed. The continuous rotation of the spindle ensures calculations are made over time, allowing time-dependent fluid analysis.
Determines the dynamic viscosity of a substance by the rotation of a specified spindle within the sample at the speed giving the maximum torque reading on the viscometer. The resulting torque reading is used to calculate the viscosity of the substance.
Rotational Viscometers are classified mainly four types as Digital Series, Advanced Digital Series, Programmable Series, Advanced Programmable Series
specimens under controlled laboratory conditions.
Corrosion Test for Engine Coolants in Glassware
Corrosion Test for Engine Coolants in Glassware
In this test, specimens of metals typical of those present in engine cooling systems are totally immersed in aerated engine coolant solutions for 336 h at 88°C (190°F) for high-boiling engine coolant or corrosion inhibitors and 71°C (160°F) for low-boiling engine coolant. The corrosion inhibitive properties of the test solution are evaluated on the basis of the weight changes incurred by the specimen. Each test is run in triplicate and the average weight change is determined for each metal.
This test covers a simple beaker-type procedure for evaluating the effects of engine coolants on metal
Automatic Dissipation Factor and Resistivity Tester
Automatic Dissipation Factor and Resistivity Tester
Automatic Dissipation Factor and Resistivity Tester is a testing of new electrical insulating liquids as well as liquids in service or subsequent to service in cables, transformers, oil circuit breakers, and other electrical apparatus. This test provides a procedure for making referee tests at a commercial frequency of between 45 and 65 Hz.
Kinematic Viscosity Bath
Kinematic Viscosity Bath
Kinematic viscosity is of primary importance in the design and selection of a wide range of petroleum products. Calibrated capillary viscometers are used to measure flow under gravity or vacuum at precisely controlled temperatures.
Constant temperature bath with advanced temperature control circuitry for convenient, accurate glass capillary viscometry determinations. Microprocessor PID circuitry assures precise, reliable temperature control within ASTM specified stability and uniformity throughout the operating range of the bath. Simple push-button controls and dual digital displays permit easy setting and monitoring of bath temperature. Baths accommodate seven glass capillary viscometers of various types. Viewing the viscometers is made easy by LED illumination inside the bath and a baffle that provides a background for easy viewing. Temperature control uniformity is assured by means of an integrated stirrer and baffling system for uniform bath temperature distribution. Connection of the built-in cooling coil to tap water or a recirculating water chiller facilitates temperature control at ambient or below ambient temperatures.
Combination Octane Rating Unit Engine

Hydrogen Sulfide Apparatus
Hydrogen Sulfide Apparatus detection of hydrogen sulfide in liquefied petroleum (LP) gases. The sensitivity of the test is about 4 mg/m3 (0.15 to 0.2 grain of hydrogen sulfide per 100 ft3) of gas.
Vaporized LP gas is passed over moist lead acetate paper under controlled conditions. Hydrogen sulfide reacts with lead acetate to form lead sulfide which produces a coloration on the paper varying from yellow to black, depending upon the amount of hydrogen sulfide present. Liquefied petroleum gases and their products of combustion must not be unduly corrosive to the materials with which they come in contact.
